Zero tolerance
The Pervis Polk Cup maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy regarding violence, fighting, verbal abuse, or any form of aggressive behavior. Any participant or spectator who engages in such conduct will be immediately ejected from the tournament and may be permanently banned from future events.
No refund after ejection
If a person or team is ejected or removed from the tournament premises for violating this Code of Conduct, no refund will be issued for entry fees or other team-related costs.
Spirit of the game
Win or lose, leave it better than you found it—the court, the scoreboard, and the people around you. That is how Pervis did it, and that is how we honor him.
Respect the community
- Treat players, officials, volunteers, spectators, venue staff, and neighbors with respect.
- Compete honestly, follow officials’ decisions, and keep disagreement non-threatening.
- Use the school and courts responsibly; clean up and respect restricted areas.
Captain responsibility
Captains must share this Code with their roster, help de-escalate conflict, and promptly bring safety or conduct concerns to tournament staff. Captains are not expected to investigate or personally confront someone creating a risk.
