Necessary registration cookie
When a captain starts registration, we set a secure, HTTP-only cookie named polk_resume_polk-cup-2026. It lets the browser return to the correct saved registration. It is limited to this site, is not available to browser scripts, and expires after the event. Blocking it may prevent automatic resume, though an emailed recovery link may still work.
Optional analytics
With your permission, PostHog stores or reads analytics identifiers and receives limited usage events so we can understand campaign performance and where people leave the signup flow. Automatic click and form-content capture is disabled. We do not intentionally send registration contact details, player names, dates of birth, or payment-confirmation values to PostHog.
Your choice
Optional browser analytics does not start until you select “Allow analytics.” Selecting “Necessary only” keeps it off. A supported Global Privacy Control signal also keeps optional browser analytics off. Your selection is saved in local browser storage so we can remember it. This choice does not affect minimal personless server events used to verify that registration steps are operating; those events do not use browser storage or include contact details.
Browser controls
You can also delete or block cookies and local storage through your browser. Doing so may remove your saved preference or interfere with automatic registration resume. For more information about the personal information involved, read the Privacy Policy.
